Pickler, who was born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, had a difficult childhood. When Pickler was just 2 her mother fled to protect her from an abusive family. The mother of Pickler returned to her life and took complete custody. This did not go well. When she turned 12, the judge returned Pickler to her grandparents - whom she grew up with. With the loss of her parents, Pickler became too busy being a parent to her siblings. She admitted she was no longer able to learn and she began to understand how to be a homemaker in her early years. Pickler had been the cheerleader at middle school and her high school.
