Hayley is an American performer and actress. Many people know her from her role as Erica Goldberg on the popular TV show 'The Goldbergs.' She considers herself to be a musician first and foremost. Since she was 9 years older, she started dabbling into music. As she grew to the age of 12, the music she was playing took more serious form and she began professional training. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13, and she was just 14 when she released her first collection of cover songs. It was the beginning of her career. Orrantia is of Hispanic origins, but was born in the USA. She is a native of Hispanic roots even if she was only able to speak English when a young girl and spent her entire life in the United States. By learning Spanish and writing songs she is trying to keep the culture alive. She has recorded a Spanish version of the song, titled 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia appeared on The X Factor during its inaugural season, which aired in the summer of 2011. Orrantia was selected as a result of a YouTube video and was awarded the judges' four "yes" no votes by the judge at the time of live auditions in Seattle, Washington. Though she initially auditioned on her own in "Hollywood Week" the singer, along with three other female vocalists were placed in an ensemble for the remainder in the selection process. The group was eliminated from the show during the fifth week of live performances.
